Our Story

Many moons ago Josefa Escalona marched her family down the Andes and into the city in search of a better life. Armed with little money, a steely determination and a love for food, she set about renting a house and began doing what she knew best – cooking up dishes filled with Latino passion and love. Her delicious stuffed arepas and warm hearty laugh soon became a thing of legend. Josefa’s Kitchen was open to all. A place to dance, eat and be merry.

This summer you will find us touring around Great Britain cooking up delicious arepas with huge smiles on our faces. Come and join the Venezuelan party, it will be love at first bite.
